Emily Wopata partners with business clients on a variety of general counsel matters, with a special focus on employment law. Her work includes drafting and evaluating employment agreements, addressing matters related to discrimination and harassment, and providing guidance on day-to-day human resource management.  Emily is also experienced in contract drafting and compliance.  Placing a high value on the client relationship, Emily appreciates the importance of accurately identifying client needs and working together to implement practical and timely legal solutions.

Before joining Business Law Advisors, Emily spent several years counseling public school districts in Kansas and Missouri.  She worked closely with school administrators and boards of education to minimize legal risk in daily operations related to personnel, students, contracting, and governance.

Emily is an active community volunteer with a focus on causes related to youth and education.  In her free time, she enjoys summers at the lake, playing golf with her husband, and chasing after her three active boys.
